Heartland Companies is excited to announce two new acquisitions to expand offering in
Cass County. Complete concrete services ranging from foundations, waterproofing, flat work,
and decorative concrete. Both new companies, Michael’s Basement and GMP Flatwork are

Michael’s Basement Co founded in 1969 and located on 7HWY in Pleasant Hill MO has
a long standing reputation for doing quality work at a fair price. Michael’s general manager is
Rusty Lee who brings 25+ years experience in concrete wall construction. Along with
foundations and waterproofing Michael’s has expanded into doing stem walls and retaining walls
working hand in hand with their sister company Worldwide Steel Buildings.
GMP Flatwork founded in 1992 and previously located in Archie, MO rounds out the
requirements for concrete. Mike Price runs the flat work division and brings 30+ years
Experience. GMP offers patios, driveways, sidewalks, and any other type of decorative concrete
